Re: Club Managers
Jim McIntyre departs Queen of the South for the Ross County job after 15 generally successful months in charge.
Not officially confirmed yet but James Fowler will take caretaker charge I expect and in so doing become the 5th successive ex-Kilmarnock player to take charge of us.

Re: Club Managers
Have updated relevant club pages. What a rather unusual stat. Seems to be a few ex-Killie players currently managers -
Mark Roberts (Ayr United)
Gus MacPherson (Queen’s Park)
Grant Murray (Raith Rovers)
Ally McCoist (Rangers)
Lee Johnson (Oldham Athletic)
Last season Martyn Corrigan, Gary Holt & Gary Locke could have been added to that list as could former manager Kenny Shiels. And of course former manager & assistant manager Jim Jefferies & Jimmy Nicholl are both still managing in Scotland while ex-player and manager Bobby Williamson has recently taken over as national manager of Kenya.

Re: Club Managers
Andy Millen is the caretaker. Any time of year is bad to lose your job but around Xmas more so than most, even if it has looked on the cards for some time. Doesn't seem that long ago since I saw a sixteen-year-old Roberts make his Killie debut on a cold February evening in a Scottish Cup replay against Meadowbank Thistle. Kilmarnock lost on penalties. Unbelievably, senior players stood by and let Roberts (who came on as a sub) take one of the five spot-kicks. He failed to score but at least he was in good company as Tommy Burns failed to convert his also.qpsnapper wrote:Mark Roberts left Ayr United today, nothing said about an interim manager:
