Can anyone provide verified dates for ties in the Empire Exhibition Cup of 1938? I've unearthed a number of online sources, but many disagree on some of the dates. Also - was there a reason why a lot of games were on Mondays and Fridays (for example the Final)? Many thanks for any help...

Best thing to do is to go to the first newspaper match report on London Hearts and take it from there to get the correct dates

For the days of the games? Probably to prevent a clash with other sporting fixtures scheduled for summer Saturdays.
