Re: Pre Season Friendly Matches 1972
The Dunfermline team against Huddersfield was:
Arrol, Callaghan, Lunn, Fraser, McNicoll, Leishman (Thomson), Scott, Nelson, Mackie (Edmonds), Kinninmonth, Gillespie.
I don't know the Huddersfield team but their scorer was Lawson.

Yes, these details come from the Evening Times. The Glasgow Herald online archive is missing for July and August 1972.Have you checked the Evening Times and Glasgow Herald ?
I have traced another seventeen matches between English and Scottish teams played in that period. These are in the Saturday editions and the reports usually finish at half-time, therefore few second half scorers are given and if subs have been used.

Re: Pre Season Friendly Matches 1972
Thanks to those who have responded so far. Since my original post I have found another four matches played in this period, namely:-
Saturday 29th July
Berwick Rangers ? Sunderland ?
Chesterfield 2 Albion Rovers 0
Thursday 3rd August
Motherwell 0 Scunthorpe United 2
Saturday 5th August
Rochdale ? Clydebank ?
Any assistance with these or with my original list would be most appreciated.
