There's ageing for you. Pretty sure I was at the Ayr game but no memory of score. Did the Chesterfield-Raith match take place? There's no mention of it in John Litster's Raith history though he does have details for both Barnsley matches.

The Raith Rovers proramme for the 14th August mentions both Barnsley games but nothing about a game against Chesterfield.

The Evening Times for both the 7th and 9th August give the fixture.

A Raith Rovers programme for their game v Swansea on 7/8/82 gives a list of their games played to that date against English league opposition. No mention of Chesterfield. Scorers v Barnsley (H) was Wallace, v Barnsley (A) was Robertson
