Play-off Averages 2014-15
Explainer: Where clubs from the same division meet each other in a play-off then I count these within the individual and divisional figures. Except when clubs meet at a neutral venue. This is not usually the case but has been so in England for many years. Thus the Championship play-offs are consider...

Re: TOP TIER LOWS
Ah, gotcha. Yes, Pune City's capacity is low. I expect every Bournemouth match to be a sell-out so that would keep the England 2015-16 low just above the current US low. Likewise Ingolstadt in Germany.

Re: TOP TIER LOWS
They won't. Spain & Mexico have already overtaken India's figure of last season. France have moved ahead of Italy. The removal of Chivas helps the USA but it's chiefly the introduction of New York City & Orlando City that has bumped up US figures. They're currently about 1,300 per game behind the on...

Re: Alan Brown - New Forum Administrator
My thanks to Alan for taking over the site and my very best wishes to him for the future. Having corresponded at length I know he will take this site forward in ways which I couldn't, even if I did have the time to stay on. This site has been my 'baby' for fourteen years but it's now old enough to m...

Re: Question for Scottish re Saxone Youth Club
Undoubtedly true about the lack of Boys Clubs. The height of a schoolboy's ambition in the late Sixties/early Seventies was to play for Bellfield Boys Club or Ayr Boswell. As Snuff is aware my secondary put the emphasis on rugby but somehow or other players like Stevie Nicol, Jimmy 'Netzer' McIlwrai...

Re: Football clubs and politics
Somewhere at the back of my mind is a recollection of the England squad being asked their views during the 1983 general election with all being Tories to a man bar Liberal supporting Glenn Hoddle. IIRC this survey was carried out by The Sun in a supposedly serious response to their earlier 'Mystic ...

Re: Scottish Cup Semis
Should have lost to Killie in 1994 but Les Mottram decided Mark Hateley had done a 'Geoff Hurst' without even feeling the need to consult a linesman, 'Russian' (he was actually Azerbaijani) or otherwise.

Re: Arab Archive hacked
I became aware of this when I was unfollowed on Twitter, not an infrequent occurrence I hasten to add but on this occasion a strange one because I saw the Twitter name doing the unfollowing bore absolutely no relation to the Arab Archive Twitter account. I won't say what the name was, lest the abili...

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE - FUTURE OF THIS SITE
Thanks to all for the many kind words expressed. Obviously I regret having to do this and it is only with the greatest reluctance that I do so. By posting relatively far in advance of the lapse of registration date (September the somethingth) I thought it gives plenty of time for others to consider ...
