Women's Football

Anyone here have any interest in Scottish Women's Football and if so do you compile line ups, scores etc. I have recently started to compile my own records but find it really difficult to find any scores, line ups from 2008-2016, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been working for a while on the national team records, which are complete since the SFA took over in 1998. I'm now focussing on the 1972-1997 era and hope to be able to publish everything later this year, in time for the 50th anniversary.

You can also get stats from the SFA web archive. It's a bit hard to get into because it needs an upgrade but a good way to start is via individual player records, eg https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/players/?pid=40976

The Celtic View has the majority of the line-ups

As a side project I've been collating SWL and SWPL tables and memberships onto one page. These are generally spread around the WWW among various sites , the pre 2010 info is harder to find and I've used the WayBack Machine extensively to fill in the many gaps. So far I have been able to list many memberships going back to 1982-83 although there are still big gaps. The page can be found here

I've now added results grids and League Cup results stretching back to the late 1980s.

Unfortunately, the further back you go the scarcer the reports are, but I hope that over time, and with some help, the many missing gaps will be slowly filled.

DOES ANYONE`S RECORDS GO BACK TO THE 19thC? I`VE A REPORT OF A LADIES MATCH PLAYED IN PERTH ON 30/5/1896 BUT I DON`T KNOW TEAMS OR EVEN A SCORE OR A VENUE.

The game in Perth was actually on 22 May 1896, at Balhousie Park. Mrs Graham's XI 2, London and District 3.

There was a previous game at Balhousie Park on 29 May 1895. Reds 1 Blues 3 - part of the extensive tour by the British Ladies Football Club.
