On Tuesday 30 April 2002 a Scotland XI played Dundee United at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling. Does anyone know if this was a “behind-closed-doors” match or was it open to the public?
I have what looks like an SFA-produced teamsheet courtesy of the Dundee United archive website that describes the match as an “International Trial Match”. It appears as if it might have been arranged for the recently appointed Berti Vogts to see some fringe/young players in action before selecting his squad to travel to the Reunification Cup in Hong Kong a couple of weeks later.
Thank you.

I was there (in a working capacity). It was definitely closed doors in the sense that there was no paid admission, but it was open to the media and various football people.
