GLASGOW CHARITY CUP

Post by LEATHERSTOCKING » Mon Dec 27, 2021 1:27 pm

The third book in my cup trilogy has just been published. In 2014, HOW THE CUP WAS WON is a history of Scottish Cup Finals. This was followd by THE GLASGOW CUP a history of, well, the Glasgow Cup with statistics of all games. Now comes THE GLASGOW CHARITY CUP with the stories of all the games plus all team line ups, scorers, attendances, umpires, referees, venues plus lists of just who and what benefited from the £17M generated from easily the World`s most successful football competition dedicated to good causes. This now almost forgotten competiton which ran for 90 years until the mid 1960s has long deserved the recognition it now gets. A real page turner, this comprehensively illustrated history can be obtained from PM PUBLICATIONS, 38, Lowther Road, Norwich NR4 6QW. Make cheques payable to J.Litster.

Congratulations. But seriously, 'cheques'. When did anyone last use a cheque?

NB the price might help, too.

Got mine on Ebay for £12.90 including P&P.

Full line-ups, stats, match reports etc. Player final appearances and results list at back.

Narrative font bit small but overall another excellent publication, illustrated with various player head-shots/etc.
