Bo'ness Athletic of EoS Div 3 are off to a flying start to the season, 12 games played and 66 goals scored. That is 5.5 goals per game. Assuming they keep up their current form they could be on to a record-breaking season!
To put it in perspective: Raith Rovers currently hold the UK record for the most goals scored in a single season - 142 in 34 games (1937-38). That works out to 4.18 goals scored per game.
Are there any other teams historically around the UK lower leagues or elsewhere in the footballing world with a better goal ratio than Bo'ness Athletic?
In recent memory, Gretna's 04-05 season was 3.16 goals per game.

Totally forget about the year Kelty joined the EoS (seems like so long a go). Would that be the UK record then? Don't remember any press about it.

Ayrshire League 1892-93...and that included Annbank sending out a reserve team to get beat 12-0 at Beith due to a fixture clash!

Down in the juniors Glenrothes averaged over five goals a game in 1969/70 season, 166 goals in 32 games. Opposite end of table Frances Colliery finished bottom after conceding 169 goals.
